Awards:
Kidzmama over at Not a Spare Minute has given me this beautiful bouquet of flowers. I'm a little late in my acceptance, but I did keep them in the fridge so they would stay fresh. Thank you so much! I would like to pass these flowers on to Shannon and Gabi at Gabi's World. I know they've been having some not so much fun with dentists and glasses and think they need a little pick me up.
Just for Fun:
Writer Mama had this link from the Herald Sun on her site the other day. Click on the link and answer the question: Which way is the dancer turning? She's turning clockwise for me. I can't imagine she could spin the other way. So, which way is she turning for you?
I'm leaving today for Jefferson City, Missouri. It's the capital of Missouri in case you didn't know. I used to live there and my best friend from college still lives there. Her oldest daughter (who just turned 16 and got her driver's license!) is in a play. Her other daughter and husband are at a speed skating meet so it's just the two of us! I don't think we've hung out just the two of us since we've been married. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm even spending the night before I come back home tomorrow.
I've been playing around with the idea of changing my template and making a new header. I need to get some updated pictures of the girls before I can do that, but I have some ideas brewing in my little brain. I'm hoping RJB can help me. She's pretty good on the computer. So if in the next couple weeks (yeah, I think it will take me that long) my blog gets a little goofy, please bear with me.
After some deliberation and discussion with some of my mentors, I have decided to stop doing a weekly Thursday Fiction post. I plan to pursue this venture, but I think there may be some better areas to showcase my work. Once I figure that out, I'll let you know so, if you are interested, you can follow my progress. I had so much fun doing the Wordless Wednesday last week that I think I will do it more often! Photography is another of my loves and I've got a lot of photo ops in this house. Just the other day the kids yelled, "Mom, get the camera. Did we make your blog?" I've created monsters!
Don't forget to subscribe to my daily posts in a reader or by e-mail. It's as easy as hitting that little orange button above Peanut's Picture and following the directions!

Have a safe trip and a great time. I look forward to seeing where you relocate your Thursday fiction posts.
I like your stories, too. Will watch to see what you come up with. (Love the photos, too.)

ps Hope your trip was fun.
Karla and Melissa,
I'm glad you liked the stories. I'll try to get something worked out soon.
Karla - I did respond to you, but I'm wondering if it ended up in your spam folder. I'll check into it further when I get home. I'll try to send you a response from my other e-mail just in case. I'm sorry you didn't get it.
Deb
Thanks so much for the flowers! It is a great pick me up and I could sure use that.
I posted the dancer picture on my blog a couple months back and did a poll to see how people seen her. At first, I only seen her turn one way, but after a while I could get her to turn on demand for me. It' s pretty neat. I think I posted it shortly before you started coming to my blog.
Thanks again for the flowers. I'll try to post about it tomorrow.
BTW, I have never really looked into those google reader thingys, but I would imagime it would help me to stay up on my favorite reads better. I heard you can't comment on blogs on them unless you still go and visit the site. Do you know if thats true? If it is, I kind of feel like "Well how does that save on time since I prefer to leave a comment?"
Hi Deb,
What fun that will be to spend some one on one time with your best friend. I'm sure you'll be taking lots of trips down memory lane.
I'm following you blog, so now I'm anxious to see what changes you make.
Shannon - When I looked at it the first day she went to the right, but when I went back to add the link to the post she was going to the left. I guess somedays I'm more rightbrained than others. :O
Barbara -
Thanks. I hope you'll like it. I picked my friends brain and have a couple of my own. Now we'll just see if we can do it!
