Awards
It's time again to acknowledge awards and pass them on!
First, I got this award from Deb at Mom of 3 Girls.

Thanks Deb! I'd like to pass this award to Shannon at Gabi's World; Melissa at Banana Migraine and Maria at Mommy of Four.
I also received this award from SaraLyn at Love, Life and Marriage.

This award was created by Working Mum On The Verge to honor blogs that make you, "think, laugh, cry or sigh." The only rule is you should pass it to another 5 blogs. This will be difficult since so many blogs I read fall into this category. I will pass it on to:
- Life and Times of a Teenager with Disabilities for making me think about my understanding of Cerebral Palsy.
- Damama's at it Again because she often makes me think, laugh and cry.
- Burgh Baby because she always makes me laugh.
- Our Little Piece of the World because I love her photos and stories of her girls.
- Just Because because she a new bloggy friend and I'm enjoying getting to know her and her family through her blog.
Gala and Saturday
I got my dress finished for the Gala! I put in 3 hours Saturday morning before going for my nail appointment. I was feeling guilty after watching back issues of Supernanny and WifeSwap while sewing. The episodes were full of selfish and neglectful moms who chose their pursuits and activities over the children. I only had a couple hours to spend with the girls Saturday and dad was out of town still so they were on their own. After the nail appointment I planned to take the girls to the mall for a little shopping and lunch. (By the way, it was snowing!) We were almost at the mall when the car in front of me stopped quickly for the light, causing me to stop quickly. I looked in the review mirror and realized the car behind me was coming too fast and was not going to stop. WHAM!
Instead of spending an hour at the mall with the girls, I got to deal with an accident. My bumper's a mess (not sure about the frame) but I was able to drive off. I felt sorry for the kid (ok, he was 20, but that's a kid to me) who hit me. His car had to be towed. His dad came up to the accident and he was very nice, but I have a feeling the kid was not going to get off too easy when they got home.
We did go to the mall, but we only had time to eat lunch. I needed to get back home and finish the dress and get ready for the Gala. As promised, here are pictures. (I never said the dress was black.)
Diva and Peanut cannot see a camera without getting in on the act. MA was taking the pictures.
BloggerHave you noticed some of the new features on Blogger? They now have a draft blogger that allows you to pre-date a post! I love this. Sometimes I know my morning is going to be busy and want to post the night before. I tried it the other day and it worked. I was going to do it with this post, but I was too tired last night. I started it, but had to give up. I was writing drivel.
Blogger also has some new page elements. One is a blog roll, so I changed my blog roll. It takes up more room on the sidebar, but the links are better. It will sort by most recent post and give the title of the blog's post. You can also show a brief intro to the post, but that took up too much space so I didn't use it.
Finally, you can now search my blog by Google. I still have the label button, but if there is a specific item you are looking for try the search!
As always, if you like what you've read, subscribe to my blog in either a RSS Reader or by e-mail. It's as simple as clicking the little funny looking orange square icon on the top left of the page. All you have to do is follow the directions from there and you'll get my new posts every day!
TTFN
I'm off to get ready for church and mommy daughter time. My niece's First Communion is today. Can you believe I forgot to buy a gift! I've got an idea, though so I won't be empty handed. Hubby gets home today! Yeah! I'm a little behind in my blog reading but next week will be calmer. Good because, I need a break!

Thank you for the award. :)
Your dress turned out beautifully! Do you want to come teach me how to sew?
Sorry you got into an accident, I'm really glad that everyone was ok though!
BEAUTIFUL dress!
I'm so glad you all were not hurt. :-)
I am glad you and your girls were not injured in the accident.
Your dress looks lovely, you did a beautiful job sewing it.
Thank you so much for the award!
And the dress is beautiful!!
I can't believe you made that dress. It turned out fantastic! I bow to your superior seamstress skills.
Congrats on the bling and thanks for thinking of me when you were passing it on. I'm glad I make someone laugh 'cuz my husband sure doesn't think I'm funny. ;-)
You're very welcome! :)
That dress is gorgeous! This is why I keep telling myself that I need to re-learn how to sew. Except that it would probably take me 6 years to make something even half that complicated and by then I'd either hate it or it would be completely out of style. ;)
Wow, the dress turned out fabulous! So sorry about your accident. Thank goodness no one was hurt.
As you can see I'm behind on my reading too. A crazy busy weekend.
Thanks Deb for the award.. I am so behind on these! That's 3 now! I better get working on that soon!
You look fantastic in the dress... great job!
And I am LOVIN' the blogger in draft features. I think my favorite is the auto-publishing feature! I have used it a few times myself. I can actually have posts on the weekend when I am usually MIA because of work!
Sorry about your bumper. :( I remember being 20 and I thought I was so grown up and then I had kids and realized tht 20 is still such a baby! Hope his dad wasn't too hard on him. ;o)
