It's been a busy morning! Both our birdies flew away today. Thankfully I went outside to see if I could find them to get more pictures because I heard a lot of chirping and found our dog with one of the birds pinned down. She's being kept inside today, but I think the birds have been lead away by their parents.

How neat that you were able to capture all of that progress!

Awww - baby birds sure are cute. Except it kind of grosses me out they eat barfed up food and worms . . . but hey, whatever.

Fortunately for me, our dog has no desire to play with birds.

That's cool we had a bird in our front yard I think she had a nest in the dirt. But she would not allow anyone within 50 feet of where she was laying so I did not get to get any photos.

Hi Tina,
I was lucky to have the window between us so I could get close. The mama bird often flew off so I tried not to get too close too often, but we had a great view!

Oh how sweet! I love to watch baby birds grow and take off on their own.

They grow so quickly. Thanks for keeping a tab on them for us. ~ Didn't know you had a bird dog!

What great photos!

When I was a kid, we had a couple of "bird dogs", so a couple of times we found ourselves nursing an injured bird back to health. Those are some cute pictures and memories from my childhood.

Lucky you with the view - thanks for sharing.

Hi Debbie,

I love the series of photos. You'll have to keep us posted if the birds come back.

I have a bird feeder I can watch from my office window. It's a great reminder for me to take a break and watch the birds as they fill their tummies.

I was sorry to read this morning that your "babies" are gone but it is also hopeful that they are off to face the world on their own.

I had some great WW photos available to post, but got tied up with getting the kids ready.

I love your birdy series, and so glad you saved it from the family dog! Yikes!
