That looks like mine too. The neighbour across the street has an immaculate yard. The neighbour to the left of us hasn't done anything to his yard at all.
That looks like my backyard! I finally tackled the front yard this Spring!
Mine grows about exactly as yours does. :) Full of weeds, but I just don't have the time or energy to keep up with pulling them. And frankly, some of them have taken over the point where I think we just need to dig the whole area out and start over again. Sigh.
Join the club ~ looks the same here. I'm thinking unless you have a full time gardener, the weeds just take over.
Quick! It's time for a weed intervention! Right after I finish cleaning mine all up. In about five years.
deb there is a house in my neighborhood that looks worse then that as far as my garden goes it was like that before we tore it down to put something else in. I will post pics of it when it is done.
If I were you I'd stick down some concrete and pop a few pots of plastic flowers here and there!
