what a great blog! so glad i checked it out. i recently purchased a beautiful communion bracelet from your sister, anna. (what a lovely woman) when i saw her DS awareness bracelet, i had to write to her to tell her how wonderful it was. she sent me the link to your website. i, too, am a mom of "three weddings". my precious girls are 8, 5 and 2. my middle daughter, ella has down syndrome. she is beautiful, smart and bull-headed! and we adore her! good luck with your girls. and a special hug for your little peanut!

I love this theme. It is beautiful! I also love this story. It's funny how God has different (but always better) plans for us than we do for ourselves. I too had to help put my hubby through school. We've been married almost eight years now (no kids yet) and he's been in school the majority of that time!! God has been very good to us though.

Hi Deb,

I wasn't sure where to leave this comment, so decided to leave it here on your first post. A post that appears to have sparked a wonderful blog.

I, too, am a blogger. I have nearly a year behind me and have two blogs. One of my blogs is about "blogging" and I share what I have learn/have learned, with others. Blogging is so great for sharing, isn't it.

Anyway, last month I decided it was time to "pay it forward" by finding new bloggers, and showcasing them for a one week period on my blog, in a section (top sidebar) called "New Blog Of The Week".

I have spent many hours searching for new bloggers, and oftentimes am disappointed as I find many blogs filled with ads, and little to no great content. I wrote a post and asked my loyal readers and commenters for help. As the result of a email, you were nominated, and chosen.

What I love about your blog, is that you are helping others by sharing stories of your beautiful daughter Peanut, and other special needs children. Because of your openness,for some, you will be an "angel".

I am in the process of editing my post for today (2/12/08), where I will introduce you to my readers. Although my blog does not get massive traffic (yet), I do have great cyberspace friends who support and inspire me.

Welcome to the blogging world! What a great 1st post. And I had to figure out just how old I would be when my youngest graduates since you mentioned it. I'll be 53 or 54? He has a late birthday so I may be 54 then. God has a sense of humor, doesn't He. He always seems to laugh at the plans we make for our lives. I wanted 2 kids, a boy and a girl, and I wanted them close in age. I after all, did NOT want to have them 7 yrs apart like my mom did between me and my brother! I can't tell you how many times I used to say, "I'll never have my kids that far apart!" Well, I had 3 kids- boy-girl-boy and they are each 7 yrs apart! And I have 2 step-sons, so we have a total of 5 kids! My only daughter was born with Down syndrome. So, come over and meet me and my Gabi!

I love the picture of your dear littlest one. Our baby is the only one we found out the gender of before birth, too. We're ever so glad that we did. The shock of his DS was enough. We seriously wanted a girl. I would have had such guilt being all bummed about a boy on top of that. God knows so much more than I do. Obviously.
