I have a student like your daughter. We just take it one day at a time. At the end of last year we took him to his new classroom several days. He did not understand, but he did understand it was a good thing and nothing scary.

As we face a new year, we will just take it one day at a time. Maybe only a few minutes in the classroom the first day.. but maybe.. a little more the next day.. and in no time at all.. he'll be fine..

and.. so will she.. You do a great job with her.. YOU are lucky to have her.. and SHE is lucky to have you...

It has been a year since we moved and I still can't get Alexis to understand why we can't just stop at our old house sometimes. I can only imagine that changing schools would be worse, since school is tied to friends and so much more. URGH!

OMG! ME, TOO! I have one that was fine, right up until it wasn't. A filling fell out, the tooth cracked, and now it's breaking apart. I *have* to get it pulled, but it has only bothered my two days so far this year, so I keep putting it off. Over and over. ACK!

Does not sound like fun.

I used to work at a dental office (pre-kid) so I can visualize the whole thing. Oral surgeon should do it without any problems.

I would be nervous too but like said above.... once it's done you never have to think about them again.

Ugh~I feel for you! I do not like dentists. I had to have all four of my wisdom teeth cut from under the gums when I was 18. I wouldn't want to do it again. The good news is that once it is done, it's done. Good luck with it!

Really neat pics...

This is SO like Braska. She just LOVES to play with shadows. We talk about "Shadow" like it's a friend. "There's Shadow! Say hi!" Then she's off and entertained for a while. And if you ever see her waving slowly and strangely, it's because she's found Shadow all on her own. :o)

Yeah, having each child in his or her own seat is nice! Having movies playing helps tons.

As a kid we went to Silver Dollar City ALL the time. it was only 45 minutes to an hour from Springfield. We also went to Tablerock all the time. My parents still have a cabin there, which hopefully we can go visit this summer some time. However, I'm not a big fan of swimming in murky lake water!
